First issue of LABOR magazine published
The first issue of the journal LABOR, published by ISLSSL in collaboration with the University of Santiago de Compostela, has been published. It contains the winning and runner-up texts of the first edition of the ISLSSL Annual Research Award, and an original research article, evaluated according to the journal’s protocols.
First Call for the Annual Research Award of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law
The jury appointed by the Officers of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL), composed by professors Elizabeth Brameshuber (Austria), Adrián Goldin (Argentina), Cristina Mangarelli (Uruguay), and Rolando Murgas Torraza (Panama), has unanimously selected the winners of the first call for the award, which were awarded to:
Designation of the Research Groups
The new Research Groups whose work will be presented at the XXV World Congress of the ISLSSL (Mexico, September 2027) have been selected.
Remarks by the President
Dear friends and colleagues,
I wish to thank you again for your support in my election to the Presidency of the ISLSSL. I see the position as a service that I will provide to the community of labour and social security lawyers. It has been a privilege to work for one year together with Maria Emilia Casas Baamonde, Humberto Villasmil Prieto y Alberto Pizzoferrato before taking over my office.
Designation of the Research Groups Coordinators
The Officers have designated the Coordinators of the Research Groups whose works will be presented at the XXIV World Congress of ISLSSL (Rome, September 2024)
LABOR JOURNAL
In April 2023, the ISLSSL signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Santiago de Compostela for the joint publication of the biannual journal LABOR. The ISLSSL Bureau agreed that its first issue would be composed of articles dedicated to the theme “Recent reforms of labour law after Covid-19”. In accordance with this agreement, the present call for papers is launched among the national members of ISLSSL. The deadline for submission of proposals, which will be evaluated according to LABOR rules, is 31 October. Texts may be submitted in English, French or Spanish, the official languages of ISLLSSL. Contributions may take the form of articles (with a maximum of 130,000 characters including spaces, footnotes, titles, abstracts, keywords, bibliographical references, etc.) or reviews of books on the subject (with a maximum of 20,000 characters).
